Aspler and members, Please find here http://rocioheredia.com/artist_in_residence.html some photo images taken at repoussé workshops I conducted last year while I was Artist In Residence at Metalwerx, in Waltham, Massachusetts. I also gave a workshop at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Another workshop was hosted by artist Dolores Valenza in New York City. The workshops were well received by the students showing great interest in the subject. I found the opportunity to impart the repoussé skills upon them a gratifying and memorable experience. I would like to thank the individuals who made these workshops possible. Karen Christians of the MESI / Metalwerx Scholarship Program was responsible for appointing me the first artist in residence of Metalwerx. Tom Muir of Bowling Green State University made the workshop possible by inviting me to participate as a visiting artist at BGSU. I am grateful to Dolores Valenza for extending a gracious invitation to hold a workshop at her studio in New York City. To the above individuals and institutions I remain deeply honored to have been given the opportunity they made possible in allowing me the privilege to teach new students the rare art of repoussé. To my Mentor, Teacher and Friend Valentin Yotkov, I would like to say special thanks. I hope you will enjoy the Photographs. Sincerely, Rocío Heredia One picture is worth a thousand words, Fred R.
